ST-504 pressure guide
How can a user check pressure comfort responsibly?
Use fit, sensation, and equipment notes without turning L1-L3 into a personal protocol.

Check fit first
Position and tubing affect felt pressure.
Record one variable
Keep other controls stable while observing.
Stop for warning signs
Do not test discomfort with a stronger level.
Pressure comfort is an equipment observation. It is not a decision about which setting treats a diagnosis. Start with the current instruction for use. Confirm the sleeve position, selected mode, pressure label, and session conditions before describing the sensation.
Make the fit check first
The sleeve should cover the intended area and remain secure without a sharp edge. Tubing should remain connected and free of a tight bend. Clothing can change the felt pressure. Body position can change how easily the user notices a pressure point.
If fit is wrong, changing pressure does not solve the underlying problem. Correct the physical setup first. The setup guide gives the product-specific starting sequence.
Use a simple observation scale
A short note can include the pressure label, the selected mode, the time, and the location of any uncomfortable feeling. Add whether the sleeve moved, whether the chambers inflated in the expected order, and whether the controller stayed within reach.
Do not convert the note into a medical result. “The upper section felt tighter after the sleeve shifted” is useful. “L3 improved circulation” is not established by the observation.
Keep other controls stable
Heat and vibration can change the overall sensation. Keep them separate while comparing pressure. If the device includes those functions, record them as independent settings. The working modes guide explains why a mode label and a pressure label answer different questions.
Change one control at a time only when the manual allows it. Multiple changes make the next observation difficult to interpret.
Stop instead of testing a stronger level
Stop for pain, increasing numbness, skin change, unusual heat, or a sensation that becomes worse. Do not restart at a higher pressure to reproduce the event. Use the safety guide when the issue may involve a symptom, recent procedure, wound, or reduced sensation.
Pressure comfort is a bounded product question. It is not a substitute for clinical advice.
The most useful note is often modest: L2 felt uneven after the sleeve shifted. That statement gives the next person something to check. It avoids a conclusion about circulation, recovery, or the cause of a symptom. Clear notes make support conversations shorter and safer.
Keep the evidence boundary visible
The product manual controls pressure values and limits. General FDA medical device information does not select L1, L2, or L3 for an individual. Use professional guidance when a diagnosis or recent procedure changes the question.
